Cody McDonald was pleased to have scored but disappointed that City lost 2-1 to Burnley this afternoon.

Speaking to Sky Blue Player, McDonald who had a couple of chances before he scored in the 58th minute, said: We are disappointed with the result but on a personal note, the goal was a confidence booster for myself.

"I'm a little bit disappointed with the chance and the keeper has done well. The manager told us to play the way we had been because we were on top for most of the game.

"We deserved the lead but didn't take advantage of it and we are all disappointed with the way we let it slip.

“We can’t dwell on it too much as we have a big game at Doncaster next week.”
