Coventry City will be amongst the clubs voting today at a Football League meeting in Derby about whether artificial pitches can be used in the Football League from next season.

Third Generation (3G) pitches like the one which Bedworth United have installed for this season and FC Stratford in the Midland Football League have played on for a few seasons, are allowed to be used in the Conference and in the FA Cup and according to the BBC, twenty nine out of forty six League One and League Two clubs are in favour of the pitches which are completely different to those used at QPR, Preston and Luton Town in the past.
