Coventry City have issued the following statement:

"Michael Mifsud's prospective move to Bristol City has fallen through after the striker failed to agree personal terms.

Coventry agreed a fee with the Robins last week for the Maltese international.

But Bristol City boss Gary Johnson has revealed that negotiations with Mifsud and his representatives had fallen through and that he would not be joining the Club.

Coventry City chairman Ray Ranson said: "We had obviously agreed a fee with Bristol City which was acceptable to both parties and Michael looked set to sign for them.

"That has broken down and I now intend to speak to Michael's representatives to find out exactly what happened before I comment any further."
