Coventry City Football Club issued a statement confirming they have rejected a third bid from Birmingham City for Gary McSheffrey

Two previous bids have already been rejected by the club and Paul Fletcher said: "From the outset, my Chairman Geoffrey Robinson and I have been of the opinion that we should not sell Gary McSheffrey and again we have underlined our intention to keep Gary at the Ricoh Arena.

"We thank Birmingham City for their interest in him, but it has never been in our thoughts to let him go. "On behalf of the Chairman, Board and Senior Management Team at Coventry City, I'm delighted that Gary is still a Sky Blues player and we all look forward to the new season with him in the team."
The club are hoping that Gary McSheffrey is available for the Sunderland game on Sunday. The club are to appeal about McSheffrey's dismissal during the defeat on Saturday night against Boavisita.

The game also saw Wayne Andrews pick up a broken ankle and Robert Page injure his back
