Derby County boss Nigel Clough has said that he is happy with progress being made by Jamie Bailey and Callum Ball who are both on loan at Coventry City.

Speaking to the Derby Telegraph, Clough said: "The loan is an ideal situation for both of them, at the moment.

"James has played every game since he went there, which is great news for him, and Coventry are picking up a little bit now that Mark (Robins) has gone in there with Steve Taylor.

"Callum Ball was in and out of the team and now he seems to be have got back in.

"He played 90 minutes at Swindon on Saturday and his strike partner, David McGoldrick, is getting goals.

"The loan is exactly what we wanted for the two of them.

"James needed to go and play football and Callum, being younger, needed that experience."
