Super Sammy Clingan needs to see a specialist.

The Coventry City midfielder who scored a stunning goal against Barnsley on Saturday has a sore Achillies Tendon and he told the CT: “The fracture has healed up well but I am still carrying a little knock and my Achilles tendon is still quite sore so I am going to see a specialist in London and fingers crossed I can get it sorted out.

“It is not going to rule me out of tomorrow’s game. I am dealing with it and it is just sore.

"The physios have been working with me, so it is a case of managing it.”

Speaking about his goal against Barnsley on Saturday which adds to his collection of stunners already this season, the Ulsterman added: "I gambled because I could see their midfielder wasn’t looking at me and I sneaked in behind him and connected with it.

“It is only my second goal from open play in the last couple of years and I would like to add a few more between now and the end of the season.”
