Clingan Plays For Northern Ireland

Coventry City midfielder Sammy Clingan played for 64 minutes for Northern Ireland tonight in an international friendly against Montenegro.

Clingan started for his country in the game played at the City stadium in Podgorica which Northern Ireland lost 2-0 with Radomir Djalvoic opening the scoring in the 43rd minute and hitting a second, fourteen minutes into the second half.

Former Coventry City keeper Jonny Tuffey (pictured below) was an unused substitute.

Aron Gunnarsson played for Iceland in their 1-1 draw with Liechtenstein. Gislason put Iceland ahead in the 20th minute only for Stocklasa to equalise in the 69th minute. 

Keiren Westwood was a sub not used in the Republic Of Ireland's 1-0 home defeat to Argentina at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Scotland lost 3-0 in Sweden, whilst Craig Bellamy scored for Wales in a 5-1 win against Luxembourg. A good number of Coventry City supporters were at Wembley to see England beat Hungary 2-1 thanks to a brace by Steven Gerrard.
