Clingan in Northern Ireland squad, if fit.

Coventry City captain Sammy Clingan has been selected for the Northern Ireland squad, who play Norway at Windsor Park next week.

Clingan is currently injured with a groin strain and is receiving treatment, so may not be fit to play.

The City boss Andy Thorn said to the CT's Andy Turner, “We have to wait to see how he is because his groin is still playing him up.”

Ollie Norwood, on loan from Manchester United, has not been selected, but if Clingan has not recovered in time for Coventry's next match, he may well be Clingan's replacement in the Sky Blues side to face Barnsley on Saturday.

If Norwood does start the game he will likely play alongside Gary Deegan in the Coventry midfield.
