Clingan Happy To Be Playing

Sammy Clingan has said that he is happy to be playing again for Coventry City.

The Ulsterman had been out with a knee injury since November 9th and came on as a 66th minute substitute in the 2-1 defeat at QPR yesterday, after coming through a reserve game on Tuesday against Cheltenham.

Clingan told Sky Blue Player:"It seemed to be a long time, and I find it really hard sitting on the sidelines watching the games. I think it's been two-and-a-half months, so to get 20 or 25 minutes was really good and I'm looking to push on from there.

"It's good for the players when there's competition for places because you can't rest on your laurels. If you don't play well the manager will have you straight out of the team."
