Coventry City Chairman Ken Dulieu has said that Sammy Clingan is going nowehere unless there is a ridiculous offer for him.

Despite, City losing half a million pounds a month and Clingan being linked to Leeds United, the board are determined that players of Clingan's ability should not be sold off to further weaken the squad.

Speaking to the CT, Mr Dulieu said:  “Sammy Clingan is a great player and unless someone comes in and offers something that is absolutely ridiculous he is going nowhere.

“If someone tried to get him on the cheap I would have to put an argument to the shareholders saying it would be madness to lose this guy.

"I am not saying that I am not going to trade, because if there is a clever trade to do I promise you I will do it.

“But we do not have to slash and burn tomorrow because we have got a bloody good squad and they are playing really good football.”
