Coventry City have let Jonson Clarke-Harris go to Bristol Rovers.

The Leicester born striker came through City's Academy before not being offered a deal and leaving for clubs such as Oldham and eventually Rotherham United, whom he rejoined City from in the summer after a spell on loan last season.

Clarke-Harris has not started regularly this season and has been reduced to coming off the bench recently but scored six goals including one in the win at Wycombe Wanderers.

Nothing has so far been said about the deal apart from that it is permanent and Bristol Rovers Manager Graham Coughlan said to his club's website:  "Jonson is a player that I have worked with before and someone who I believe is a top player at this level.

"He has a great amount of pace, he's strong, has a sweet left foot and is someone that can hold the ball up well.

"I believe that given the right amount of guidance, Jonson can be a real star at this football club."
