Coventry City have been named in a debate by MP's into Insolvency in Football Clubs.

The debate at Westminster Hall led by Conservative MP Damian Collins, saw the Sky Blues described as "having gone through a particularly torrid time, something I don’t think any football club should ever have to go through again.”

The MP for Folkestone and Hythe was presenting a bill which will see the identity of the owners and investors of football clubs having to be publically declared.

He also laid into the way Coventry City had been run into the ground and the way the finances were in ruins 'purely for the financial interest of its mysterious and secret owners' and added “The situation at Coventry City is a desperately sad one and it should never be allowed to happen again.”
