Sam Ricketts has said that the potential of Coventry City is obvious.
"The size and potential of Coventry is obvious," the former Welsh international told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. .
"It's such a big club and there's plenty of ambition there."
"The ambition is promotion - everyone wants to be out of this league and playing up a level,
"Teams that have been in League One before have been able to build and stabilise and go through all the way to the Premier League.
"First and foremost we need to be competitive in this league but, in the years ahead, there's no reason why Coventry can't do that."
