City Wait On Murphy

Coventry City are waiting on keeper Joe Murphy ahead of their trip to Leeds United on Tuesday night.

The goalkeeper was reported as being 'out cold' after colliding with his right hand post under pressure from Ishmael Miller in the 69th minute of City's 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

He soon came round and was put on oxygen before being taken to the dressing rooms. A hospital visit was not required.

Speaking to the club website, City boss Andy Thorn said: "Joe was allowed home without having to go to hospital but we are monitoring him closely and will see how he is before making any decision."

Chris Dunn who came on for Murphy has been put on standby with Lee Burge, who had another good game for City U18's on Saturday against Birmingham City, available to go on the bench if required.
