City V Blackpool Still To Be Confirmed

Coventry City's League One fixture at home to Blackpool on Saturday January 26th (FA Cup Fourth Round day) is still subject to confirmation after the Seasiders moved into the FA Cup Third Round with a 3-2 extra time win over Solihull Moors.

After the 0-0 draw at Damson Parkway, Blackpool took on Solihull Moors, managed by City supporter and former Sky Blue loanee and coach Tim Flowers.at Bloomfield Road, where only the main stand was open.

Armand Gnanduillett fired Blackpool ahead after ten minutes, hooking home unmarked, with Joe Dodoo scoring a second in the 19th minute with a twelve yard finish.

Former City loanee Nathan Delfounseo came on for Blackpool against a Solihull team which included former City loanee Jamie Reckford who started with Kwame Thomas on the bench.

In the 33rd minute, the National League side pulled a goal back when Adi Yussuf glanced a header past Howard.

Solihull had a penalty in the 49th minute and Adi Yussuf converted to make it 2-2.

Kwame Thomas, a former Blackpool player, got a run out coming on in thr 89th minute before the game went into extra time.

Reckford limped off and became the fourth Solihull player to be replaced before Blackpool were awarded a 113th minute penalty. which Jay Spearing netted from to send Blackpool into Round Three and a home tie against Arsenal on January 5th.

Meanwhile, League One side Burton Albion are through to the Carabao Cup Semi-Finals after a 1-0 win at Middlesbrough.
