City Up Two Places

Coventry City are up to 18th in the Championship table after their 2-0 win against Leicester City this afternoon.

Stoke City,who have Marton Fulop in goal still lead the table after beating Ipswich 1-0 at the Brittannia. Second are Bristol City who won 2-1 at Colchester with Dele Adebola on the scoresheet.

Scunthorpe remain bottom after being held 1-1 by Southampton at Glanford Park. Vignal equalised for the Saints two minutes from time. Preston remain third bottom after a 0-0 draw at Watford.

Kevin Kyle scored his first goal for Wolves in a 2-0 win at Crystal Palace, whilst Hull won 2-1 at West Brom.

Plymouth who are doing very nicely without Ian Holloway are fifth with Charlton sixth.

Swansea top League One, fourteen points clear of second placed Nottingham Forest. Doncaster, Carlisle,Walsall and Tranmere make the play-off spots.

Former City loanee Lloyd Dyer scored for MK Dons at Barnet.

Locally, Ben Mackey scored twice for Leamington in a 3-0 home win against Malvern Town. The Brakes are in second place,seven points behind Evesham who beat Bedworth 2-0.

Rugby Town lost 2-0 at home to Hitchin.

In the Midland Alliance, Coventry Sphinx won 2-1 at Rocester. Paul Charnley's side trailed at the break but Tom Haywood and a Chris Harris penalty gave Sphinx an away win to take them into their FA Vase tie at Kirkham & Wessham.

Leaders Atherstone drew 0-0 at Causeway United, Levi Bailey and Matt Blair scored for Racing Club Warwick in a 2-0 win over Barwell. Stratford beat Shifnal 4-2 with a brace from Neil Davis.

Massey Ferguson are through to the Fifth Round of the Endsleigh Challenge Cup with a 3-2 win at Heath Hayes.

Former Sky Blue youngster Carl Nolan's Coventry Copsewood were held 2-2 by Brereton Social but Nuneaton Griff lost 2-0 at home to Walsall Wood. Southam kept up their bid for promotion with a 2-1 win at Meir KA.

Coventry Sphinx Reserves beat Walsall Wood 1-0 in a Reserve Division game.
