Coventry City are only out of the top six on goal difference after their 1-1 draw at Blackpool.

Chris Coleman's side are four goals behind Bristol City who lost at leaders Wolves this afternoon.

Birmingham City are second after winning 2-1 at Cardiff whom the Sky Blues travel to on Tuesday night.

Third are Reading who stuffed Swansea 4-0 with Preston, 3-1 losers at Burnley fourth and QPR beaten 2-0 at home by Derby County fifth.

Bottom of the table are Nottingham Forest who lost 1-0 at Plymouth,with Barnsley who drew 0-0 at home to Norwich in 22nd and Crystal Palace in 21st

There were wins for both Sheffield Clubs and Southampton.

In League One, Kevin Thornton was a 64th minute substitute for Brighton 7 Hove Albion in their 2-2 draw at Northampton. Thornton joined a Brighton side which included Andy Whing,Colin Hawkins and Adam Virgo whilist Liam Davis played the whole game for the Cobblers.

Locally, Leamington have maximum points from seven BGB Southern League Midland Division matches after a goal from Stanley gave them a 1-0 win against Stourport. Adam Kinder scored for Bedworth, his fourth in three matches against Soham Town.

In the FA Cup, Southam United from the Mid Comb Premier Division held Atherstone Town to a 1-1 draw. Friend scored for Southam with Barlone on target for the BGB Midland Division new boys, who now host the replay on Tuesday night.
