City Up To Fifth

Coventry City are fifth in the table after Tuesday night's victory at Queens Park Rangers.

The Championship is still led by Watford won 3-1 away to Norwich City. Second are West Brom who were held at home 1-1 by ever improving Sheffield Wednesday.

Third placed Bristol City lost 1-0 at home to fourth place Charlton Athletic.

Hull won at Burnley whilst Stoke won at Scunthorpe. All the other games ended in draws.

In League One, Richard Shaw's last game as caretaker player/manager saw him limp off with a groin injury in the 34th minute of Millwall's 2-2 home draw with Swansea.

Dennis Wise's Leeds won 3-1 at Bournemouth and are now only five points behind leaders Carlisle who drew 0-0 at Luton.

Julian Joachim scored for Darlington in a 2-0 win over Shrewsbury and Trevor Benjamin scored for Hereford in a 2-1 win against Mansfield.

Locally, Leamington are through to the Third Round of The FA Trophy after a 1-0 win in a replay at Margate. Josh Blake scored the only goal of the game.

Rugby Town lost 1-0 at home to Chippenham whilst in the Birmingham Senior Cup, Racing Club Warwick lost 3-0 at Banbury United.

In the Midland Combination, Massey Ferguson were beaten 4-1 at home by Coleshill Town.
