Coventry City are to take Chris McCann on loan from Wigan Athletic.
McCann is expected to join City, according to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner and train with the Sky Blues but he will miss the opening three matches of the season after being sent off in Wigan's 4-1 loss to Barnsley last season.
McCann is expected to be on loan until the first week of January.
