City To Step Up Community Involvement

Coventry City are stepping up their Community Involvement Programme. Lead by Claire Boden, this will see contact being made with over 400 heads of schools and junior clubs in the area with a view to organising a one-off visit to the Arena for children and their families as happened at the Plymouth game this weekend where over 2,000 tickets were given to junior clubs and schools.

Those that attend these games will be placed onto an on-line schools initiative which will carry incentives to attend further Coventry matches during that season. For each ticket purchased a sum of £1 will be put into a fund for the childrens school with the aim to raise as much as possible for that school, over certain targets (say £1000 for the school) the club will arrange for possible visits by the squad and management depending on availability.

Following a suggestion from the SCG the club will also investigate a visit or time with the Academy for those schools who have had targets reached.
