McAllister said: "Hopefully we shall have Richie Partridge signed from Liverpool by the deadline on Friday so that's a nice little boost.
"It'll be on a month's loan initially. He's a natural wide player who's got a bit of pace. Having worked with him for a couple of years up there he's an exciting player, who wants his chance.
"With all the new signings at Liverpool it's moved him back in the pecking order and he's another young player who wants to go out and prove himself.
"He can play both sides but has played most his football wide on the left. He can get a goal but more importantly he's a wide man who can deliver."
