Coventry City will save around £50,000 a year by closing the North Stand, it has been revealed.
In response to a question asked by a supporter, the club have said: "Steve (Waggott) told the SCG meeting on stadium configuration that not using North Stand would save circa £50k p/a.
The club have said that they would review the decision on a game by game basis if the demand was there for it to be open.
There has been a petition launched to try and save the North Stand from closure, which was featured on this site last night.
