City To Lose Four For Hartlepool

Coventry City will face Hartlepool United in the League Cup 1st Round at the Ricoh Arena next Wednesday without four major players.

The game on Wednesday August 12th comes the same night as international friendlies and City will have to face the League One club without Keiren Westwood, Leon Best, Aron Gunnarsson and Sammy Clingan.

Westwood and Best have been called up for the Republic Of Ireland for a friendly with Australia.

Sammy Clingan has been named in the Northern Ireland side to face Israel at Windsor Park whilst Aron Gunnarsson will be in the Icelandic squad to face Slovakia.

"The problem we have got is that first cup game we have got against Hartlepool, we are going to lose four players and there is nothing we can do about it," said Chris Coleman to the CT.

Tickets are on sale for the game priced at £12 adults and £6 concessions.
