Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that he will discuss the future of Swedish loanee Martin Lorentzson this afternoon.

Mowbray told the Coventry Telegraph about the 32 year old who has been on trial with City and played for City U21's on Monday at right back: “We’re going to sit down and talk to him this afternoon. There’s no doubting his quality, he’s played at a higher level than this but what he’s a long way from home.

“We can’t have him asking to go back every other week, that sort of thing, so we have to discuss what his family commitments are, how his wife feels about it, that sort of thing.

“We have to decide if we spend the money on a right-back. We need a centre-back long term. If he comes in does that mean Sam Ricketts is competing to play as a centre-back rather than right-back?

“He’s not played a lot of football so we need to get him training for four or five weeks to get his fitness up.

“But he’s good on the ball, doesn’t give it away and finds a Sky Blue shirt with every pass."
