Former Coventry City loanee Dominic Samuel, who has City boss Tony Mowbray interested in taking him on loan was stretchered off during Reading's 1-0 League Cup win at Colchester United.
Samuel, who came on as an 82nd minute substitute for the Royals, went down under a innocuous challenge, six minutes into the first period of extra time and received treatment.
