Kris Boyd, a player being tracked by Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has joined Rangers.
The City boss was keen to bring in Boyd but the Scottish international has chosen to remain in his own country and join Rangers who will play Championship football this season.
Boyd has signed a two year contract with Ally McCoist's side.
