Members of the Sky Blue Trust, Coventry City Supporters Clubs and other City supporters will commemorate the anniversary of the death of Herbert Kendall tomorrow at a graveside service at Stoke St Michaels Church in Walsgrave Road at twelve noon.

Kendall was the first Secretary of the Coventry City Supporters Club in 1920 and founded the National Federation of Supporters Clubs and lay in an unmarked grave at the Stoke based church until last June.

An appeal for a headstone to be erected in his memory was launched last year and raised over £1300 thanks to donations from City Supporters Clubs and groups around the world as well as from Coventry City and the Football Supporters Federation. The headstone was dedicated in a service on June 4 2004.
