City Still Seventeenth

Coventry City remain seventeenth in the Championship table after the 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest this afternoon.

City now have 25 points from 21 games and travel to Charlton Athletic on Tuesday night. The Addicks are bottom of the table after losing 2-0 at Blackpool. City are seven points clear of the bottom three and seven points adrift of a place in the top six.

At the other end, leaders Wolves are now only three points clear at the top after losing 1-0 at QPR on the day after manager Mick McCarthy was named manager of the month.

Birmingham remain second following a 3-2 at home to Watford. Reading, Burnley and Cardiff all won so the top six remains the same.

In League One, Leicester lead with Millwall second two points behind. Both sides scored three goals in wins today.

Liam Davis scored for Northampton in a 1-1 draw with Leyton Orient, whilst Adam Virgo was sent off for Brighton in a 1-1 draw with at Oldham. Andy Whing and Lee Hughes were also booked.

City's FA Cup opponents Kidderminster Harriers beat Salisbury 3-2 thanks to two own goals.

Patrick Suffo scored an 88th minute penalty for Wrexham in a 2-1 win over Kettering for whom Iyseden Christie scored.

Rugby Town had a good win this afternoon. Tony Dobson's side beat Clevedon 4-0 with Klodinski hitting a hat-trick.

Leamington are four points clear at the top of the Southern League Midland Division thanks to a 6-0 win at Rothwell. Micky Bellingham hit a hat-trick with a brace from Lenton and one from Stuart Herlihy.

Atherstone Town were held 1-1 at home by Stourport whilst third placed Nuneaton won 3-1 at Arlesley with goals from Pittham,Dean and Stacey.
Bedworth drew 0-0 at Chesham.

Stratford Town are still in the FA Vase after a 1-1 home draw with Westfields.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Southam won 2-0 at Cadbury Athletic. Coventry Copsewood beat Loughborough Uni 3-2 with goals from Bowman,Sockett and Williams whilst Nuneaton Griff beat Continental Star 1-0.

Massey Ferguson and Coventry Amatuer's games were postponed.
