Coventry City remain seven points adrift at the bottom of the Championship table.

A victory over Ipswich Town would have lifted City to third from bottom with Doncaster's game postponed and Nottingham Forest who play local rivals Derby County tomorrow. However, more poor defending from City in second half stoppage time condemned the Sky Blues to a 3-2 home defeat.

Fourth from bottom Millwall lost 2-1 at ten man West Ham who are four points clear at the top of the Championship table after Southampton, who had Danny Fox sent off, drew 0-0 at Birmingham City.

Blackpool are up to fourth after a 3-1 win at Cardiff City, Birmingham are fifth and Middlesbrough who drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace are sixth.

Former City midfielder John Eustace scored twice for Watford in a 2-1 win over Barnsley.

Elsewhere, Brighton beat Leicester 1-0, Burnley drew 1-1 with Peterborough and Leeds won 3-0 at Bristol City.

The games at Doncaster and Portsmouth were postponed.
