Coventry City are still trying to sign Marton Fulop from Tottenham Hotspur. A bid of £1.5m over five years had been rejected by Spurs but with Fulop highly keen to play once more for the Sky Blues where he was part of last season's success,City have renewed their interest.

Said Paul Fletcher speaking to the CET: "We are trying everything in our power to get Marton Fulop at a price that the club can afford.

"Fulop has been linked with Wigan but they seem to be making a move for Chris Kirkland which perhaps helps our cause a bit.

"But the thing we have in our favour is the fact that Marton wants to come here. Unfortunately,we appear to be caught in a bit of a waiting game."
