City Still 23rd Despite Boxing Day Defeat

Coventry City remain 23rd in the League One table despite their 4-1 defeat to Bristol Rovers who moved up to tenth.

After completing half of their 46 League One fixtures, the Sky Blues have a miserly 19 points, which is one better than Oldham Athletic who lost 2-0 at second placed Sheffield United.

City are two points behind Chesterfield who lost 3-0 at fourth placed Rochdale, two points behind Shrewsbury Town who lost 2-1 at third placed Bolton and two points behind fifth from bottom Bury who drew 0-0 at Fleetwood Town.

Scunthorpe United continue to lead the table by a point after drawing 0-0 away to fifth placed Bradford City.

Sixth in the table are Southend United who beat AFC Wimbledon 3-0, with Peterborough in seventh after a 1-1 draw with Gillingham.

Millwall moved up to ninth with a 2-0 home win over Swindon Town, Charlton are 12th after a 1-0 win at MK Dons and Walsall are 15th after a 1-0 win at Port Vale.
