City Stewards Made Redundant From City Match Duties

Coventry City stewards,some of whom have given over thirty years service to the club, will no longer be stewarding Coventry City matches, according to reports.

Arena Coventry Limited who have been paying their wages, told the stewards at a meeting on Monday night that City would be using stewards employed by Northampton Town FC for their home matches at Sixfields after a two month hand-over period.

The wife of one steward tweeted: "My hubby has just found out tonight that he has been made redundant from being a steward at Coventry city games. Using Northampton stewards.

"The club have had no contact whatsoever with the Coventry stewards. Was left to A.C.L.to sort out. "ACL have given out contracts this evening & they have all signed them."

Another tweeted: "So not only have i lost my club but now my job. I'm a student so that money really helped. "Fucking thanks sisu you've just made my life."
