City Stay Third From Bottom

Coventry City remain third from bottom of the Championship after losing 2-0 at Leicester City this afternoon.

City's tenth away defeat on the trot which is their worse since 1923, sees them two points ahead of Portsmouth who were beaten 3-1 at home by fifth placed Middlesbrough and bottom side Doncaster Rovers who drew 1-1 at home to seventh placed Brighton.

Fourth from bottom Bristol City stay three points ahead of City after losing 3-0 at Ipswich Town whilst Nottingham Forest drew 1-1 at Barnsley to slightly ease their relegation worries.

19th place Millwall stay six points ahead of City after losing 2-1 at home to third placed Reading.

At the other end of the table, a 1-0 win for Southampton at Leeds United puts them four points ahead of West Ham who play at Cardiff City tomorrow in a game live on BBC.

Blackpool's 1-1 draw with Hull on Friday night sees them in fourth with sixth placed Birmingham City drawing 2-2 with Derby County,

Elsewhere, Watford beat Burnley 3-2 and Crystal Palace who vist the Ricoh Arena on Tuesday night, beat Peterborough United 1-0.
