Coventry City are believed to have spoken to Everton's Victor Anichebe.
The Nigerian internatiional who has made 76 appearances for Everton scoring seven goals, was, it is understood, at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday for the game against West Brom as a guest of City Chairman Ray Ranson.
Anichebe, who was born in Lagos, can play as a centre forward or on the right side of midfield.
