City Sixteenth

Coventry City are now sixteenth in the Championship table after tonight's 1-1 draw with Swansea City at the Ricoh Arena.

Barnsley's win against Burnley last night had dropped them a couple of places but Danny Fox's late equaliser saw City claim 16th place.

The top two in the Championship both won with Wolves winning 3-1 at fifth placed Sheffield United and Birmingham City beat Ipswich 2-1 at St Andrews.

The top six are unchanged but Swansea who were seventh dropped down a place after Plymouth drew 0-0 at Southampton.

At the bottom, Nottingham Forest remain bottom after a 0-0 draw at second from bottom Doncaster Rovers. Manager-less Charlton are still in the bottom three after losing 2-1 at QPR.

In League One, Liam Davis scored for Northampton in a 2-1 win against Leeds whilst Lee Hughes scored twice for Oldham in a 3-2 win over Walsall for whom Stephen Hughes played the whole match.

Micky Adams' Brighton lost 2-0 at Stockport whilst Kevin Kyle headed against the bar for Hartlepool in their 1-1 draw with Bristol Rovers.

In League Two, Darren Currie scored for Chesterfield in a 3-2 defeat at Bradford City.

Locally, Stratford Town's home against Shifnal was postponed. Boldmere are now a point behind second place Coventry Sphinx in the Midland Alliance table after a 0-0 draw at Coalville. St Michaels have played two more games than Sphinx and leaders Market Drayton.

Coventry Copsewood moved into the fourth round of the Endsleigh Challenge Cup with a 4-3 win over Stockingford AA. Tom Muldoon, Williams, PJ Gordon and Craig Martin scored for Copsewood with Wilson,Naughton and Barnett on target for The Cabbage.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Southam lost 2-1 at Pershore whilst in the second round of the Birmingham Midweek Floodlit Challenge Cup, Massey Ferguson lost 3-2 at home to Castle Vale.
