Coventry City have signed Jim O'Brien on a two year deal, subject to Football League approval.
O'Brien scored against the Sky Blues in the FA Cup for Barnsley but was not offered a new deal by the Tykes who he joined in 2010 after spells at Celtic, Dundee United and Motherwell.
