Coventry City are now seventeen points adrift of safety after losing 2-0 to Southend United at the Ricoh Arena on Tuesday night.

Fourth from bottom side Oldham Athletic beat Oxford United 2-1 to go seventeen points of the rock bottom Sky Blues.

City are now seven points away from second from bottom Chesterfield who drew 3-3 with Peterborough United.

Third from bottom Swindon Town lost 4-2 at home to League One leaders Sheffield United who are now eight points clear of Fleetwood who won 1-0 at Walsall with fourth from bottom Port Vale losing 2-1 at Northampton Town.

Bolton are third after a 4-0 away win at Gillingham with Scunthorpe fourth after a 2-1 home win against Rochdale.

Bradford City are fifth thanks to a 1-1 draw at Charlton with Millwall in sixth place.

Elsewhere, Bury beat Bristol Rover 3-0 and AFC Wimbledon won their grudge match against MK Dons 2-0.
