Coventry City have said that they have the money available to pay Arena Coventry Limited and have contacted the legal representatives for ACL to try and find out how much City actually owe.

The Sky Blues were ordered to pay ACL £590k by the Football League before May 31st for unpaid rent and Mark Labovitch, City's Independent Non Executive Director told the Coventry Telegraph's Simon Gilbert: “We have heard nothing from ACL regarding the money they received from third parties. In order to settle this matter, we have now offered to pay ACL the net amount they are owed.

“Payment can be effected immediately from the ring-fenced account which has been set up and funded for this purpose.”
