Like the Coventry City supporters who were at Turf Moor to see the Sky Blues get a 1-1 draw against Burnley, City defenders Jordan Clarke and Cyrus Christie were left baffled as to why there was no action from referee Andy Woolmer for two horrendous challenges against them.

Jordan Clarke was karate kicked by Ross Wallace in the stomach in the 24th minute and he tweeted: "When some one puts their full set of studs in your mid drift ... And leads with their foot at right angle ... Surely should be sent off."

Cyrus Christie had to go off in the 73rd minute, leaving the Sky Blues down to ten men for the remainder of the game when he was taken out by a tackle which saw him collapse in a heap just off the pitch in front of the Main Stand.

Christie tweeted: "I get swiped from the side and he don't win the ball and Jordan Clarke gets karate kicked in the stomach and no cards hmmmmmm baffled"
