Coventry City are waiting for the results from a scan to ascertain for how long they will be without the services of Adam Virgo.

The utility player was stretchered off at Cardiff on Saturday after coming on to replace David McNamee who pulled a hamstring in the fifth minute of the match which City lost 1-0.

Micky Adams told the CET: "It looks as if he's ruptured his cruciate ligament. He'll have a scan tomorrow and we'll know more in the next forty eight hours.
"That is a massive, massive blow for the boy, more than anything and it's also a blow for us because he is a talented player who can operate in a variety of positions which is why we brought him to the club."
