City Pay A Quarter Of A Mill In Agents Fees

A report by the Football League out today has said that Coventry City paid £250,000 in agents fees in the period of July 1st to December 31st 2008.

That figure was down from the previous six months by £25,000 and involved only nine transactions.

Derby County who were relegated from the Premier League spent £717,000 in agents fees whilst Sheffield Wednesday only spent £5k.

In the Championship, there were 578 player transactions of which 88 involved payment to an agent. Combined, the Championship clubs spent a total of £4,809,035 on fees to agents.
