City Paired With Northampton For Fixtures

Last updated : 04 June 2014 By Covsupport News Service

As already mentioned on this site back on February 23rd, Coventry City will be paired with Northampton Town this season so that matches will not clash and each team will be at Sixfields on alternative Saturdays.

Last season, the Sky Blues were forced to play matches on Sundays and Wednesday's to get around Northampton's fixtures but the Football League had agreed a couple of months ago to pair the clubs.

A Football League spokesman told the Coventry Telegraph:  "We have paired Northampton and Coventry fixtures for the upcoming season.

"When a club is paired with another their fixtures will usually correspond. For example, when Bristol City are at home, Bristol Rovers will be playing away.

"The same rules now apply in this case."
