Coventry City have received the Football League Family Excellence Award yet again.

The Sky Blues were one of fifty clubs to receive the award this season.

Launched in 2007, all seventy two Football League clubs were visited during the 2011-2012 season by mystery shoppers to assess the family experience at matches.

Football League chairman Greg Clarke said in a statement about the award: “It is hugely encouraging to see the number of clubs receiving the accolade is at its highest ever level, demonstrating the Football League’s commitment to securing the next generation of fans.”

City, who have a popular Family Zone in action for every home match, as well as a number of family themed events throughout the season  were also amongst the 47 who won the award in 2010/2011.
