City Old Boys To Face Allesley Team For Charity

A number of Coventry City legends are to play in a charity game on Sunday May 29th.

A team made up of former City players which is likely to include Cyrille Regis plus other members of the 1987 FA Cup winning side will take on the Allesley All Stars at Hawkesmill Sports and Social Club in Hawkes Mill Lane in Allesley.

Former Sky Blue Lloyd McGrath runs the club where the game wil take place but a back injury which has seen him requiring surgery to have four rods put into stabilise his spine will mean that he will be managing the team instead of playing.

The match which kicks off at 3pm will raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House Charities, a charity that provides accommodation for families of seriously ill children near to the hospital where they are being treated.

Tickets cost £5 for adults with free admission for those aged 16 and under and tickets will be available on the day.
