Former City striker Simeon Jackson scored in the 86th minute of Blackburn Rover's 3-1 win over Reading.
Former City loanee Chris McGuire scored a 72nd minute penalty for Oxford United who beat Wycombe 3-0 which was enough for the U's to get promoted into League One.
