City Old Boy To Get Villa Job

According to The People, former Coventry City midfielder Kevin MacDonald could team up with Gareth Southgate to replace Alex McLeish as managers of Aston Villa.

The paper claims that Villa would like MacDonald, who has already managed Villa in a caretaker capacity before the appointment of Gerard Houllier and Gary McAllister and has developed many of the younger player at the club, will get a senior role alongside Gareth Southgate, who has not yet agreed his role as the FA's new technical director.

MacDonald made 31 appearances for City from 1989 to 1991.
