City Old Boy Off To Chesterfield

Former Coventry City midfielder Paul Cook is set to become the new manager of Chesterfield FC.

Cook has been managing Accrington Stanley but Chesterfield have now been given permission to speak to the Scouser and a compensation package has been agreed between the two clubs.

Accrington have issued the following statement; "Accrington Stanley have received a formal approach from Chesterfield about the services of manager Paul Cook.

"Negotiations over a compensation package have taken place, a deal agreed and following discussions with Paul the club have given him permission to speak to the Spireites about their vacant managerial post."
