City Old Boy Names His England Squad

Former Coventry City defender Stuart Pearce, who has been placed in caretaker charge of the England national team following the resignation at Fabio Capello has named his first squad.

Pearce has named his squad for the friendly at Wembley against The Netherlands this Wednesday, a match a good number of City supporters are expected to attend, and has included former City youngster Danny Sturrudge.

The squad is as follows: Goalkeepers: Scott Carson (Bursaspor), Joe Hart (Manchester City), Robert Green (West Ham United).

Forwards: Darren Bent (Aston Villa), Fraizer Campbell (Sunderland), Daniel Sturridge (Chelsea), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Danny Welbeck (Manchester United).
