City Old Boy In Referee Collision

Former Coventry City midfielder Colin Cameron was involved in a collision with a referee yesterday.

Cameron, who played for City in 2006/2007, making 24 appearances and scoring twice, is manager of Cowdenbeath and coliided with referee Kevin Clancy during the Fife derby game at Dunfermline Athletic.

With Mr Clancy unable to continue, an announcement was made for a replacement causing a thirty minute delay.

Jock Campbell , a G4S supervisor from Rosyth, who is a qualified referee and known in the local Sunday Leahue circuit, offered his services as an assistant referee and the game continued to a finish which saw a 3-0 defeat for Colin Cameron's side.
