Former Coventry City defender Paul Williams has been put in charge of Nottingham Forest for the rest of the season.

Forest sacked manager Dougie Freedman on Sunday and Williams, who was the first team coach, has been given the job of managing the East Midlands side.

The 44 year old joined Forest in December after being at Brentford and working with another former Sky Blue in Lee Carsley.
